Here at Huntingglobal.com We offer some of the best sources for hunting optics and ammunition available on the net today. Not only will you find the best products, but you will also find the best prices. Here is a sample of what is currently available:

ALERT:  See the "Ammunition Purchasing Alert Blog".  You may also click the "Ammunition" tab below.

We know the products we sell having been hunting most on our lives.  We have searched to find some of the best scopes available whether they are for your pistol, rifle or shotgun.  Whether you are looking for tactical scopes, open sights, high quality eye relief scopes, spotting scopes or fiber optic sights, we have them.  Over the years,  sighting preferences change.    For our eyes, we recommend the Leupold 2.5X8’s or the Leupold 1.5X5’s for dangerous game, all with “heavy reticles”.  The heavy reticle “drives” your eye to the center of your scope.  These are products currently on my site.    For your needs however, new products and sale specials will be added weekly.  So keep coming back.  If do not find what you are looking for, contact me.  Your item will be searched for and if found, It can be ordered special just for you.  The optic products line has now been expanded to include binoculars, range finders and spotting scopes.

Ammunition

If you are looking for ammunition, you have come to the right place.  Whether you are looking for a .17 caliber round - a 30-06 - or a 500 NE, they are here.  Looking for center fire rifle ammo? Handgun ammo, Shotgun Ammo, Rim fire bullets or just dummy/blanks --- We have them.   Special orders are also available. There are several hundreds of calibers and rounds out there, so some may be missing, but more are being added weekly.  It is amazing how ballistics and bullet technology has advanced over the years.  I know my opinion has changed over the years.  For example, today I tend to stay away from leaded bullets and prefer the lead-free solid copper or brass expandables.

And again however, as with the optics, if you do not find what you are looking for on this site, just ask.  A supplier search will be conducted to provide you with a special order to satisfy your requirements.

While we allI have preferences of optics and ammunition, in the final analysis, it’s what you are comfortable with and have the most confidence in that really matters.  Just always remember – the first shot you make and it’s bullet placement is the most important shot you will “ever” make.  After that --- all bets are off.

When I was in Tanzania, Africa hunting “Cape Buffalo”.  Those guys are vindictive and their placement as one of Africa’s “big 5” (the five most dangerous game animals on the continent) is well deserved.  They have a very slow metabolic rate.  It takes a long time for the “red blood cells” in their system to loose the oxygen they carry.  You can make the best shot in the world, but if they get full of adrenaline, they can “run dead on their feet”.  Besides a good heart/lung shot, you need to break their skeletons down.  If you don’t, you can in for big trouble.  Your bullet needs to be able to blow through their shoulder bones and still penetrate into their heart & lungs.  From me, I alternated the bullets in my .375 RUM.  I first used the 300 grain Barnes Triple Shock followed with a 300 grain Barnes Banded solid.  There are two “buffs” in my trophy room.  The first one went down easy.  Two shots followed by one “insurance” shot after he went down.  The second one can after me.  It took five shots plus one insurance shot to finish him and “all” were good “kill” shots.  My PH always told me --- “these guys are dangerous.  They “get” people every year.  As long as he is on his feet, you keep shooting.  And when he goes down, you shoot him again!”
